How we work

A five-step commissioning workflow

Every project goes through the same disciplined sequence. No improvising, no on-site guessing — by the time we arrive with screwdrivers, the design is on paper.

Pre-walk

Drawings, BoQ and lighting design reviewed off-site. Mismatches and risks flagged in writing.

Site survey

Physical walkthrough — measure ceiling heights, identify gateway placement, mesh hop validation.

Design

Zone plan, scene catalogue, sensor placement and automation rules drafted with the client.

Commission

On-site pairing, naming, scene programming, sensor tuning, BMS bridging. Typically 1–5 days.

Handover

Client app training, written network document, backup of all keys, post-handover support.

Site survey and mesh hop validation
Device pairing & mesh enrolment for every fixture
Zone & room creation with consistent naming convention
Scene library — typically 4–8 scenes per zone
Schedules — sunrise/sunset, occupancy windows, after-hours

How much does Casambi commissioning cost in India?
Commissioning is priced per fixture, with a project minimum — exact rate depends on scope, complexity and site readiness. Travel and lodging quoted separately for sites outside Mumbai. Send us your fixture count and city for a quote.
Do you commission products we bought elsewhere?
Yes — though we'll do a pre-walk BoQ check first, and flag any grey-import or non-Ready devices before we accept the scope. Our commissioning rates are the same regardless of supplier, but we're honest about what we'll find on site.
How long does a typical commissioning take?
Small office floors typically commission inside a day; mid-size hotels in under a week; large multi-floor campuses across multiple weeks. Sensor tuning and BMS integration add scope on top. Exact timing depends on fixture count, mesh layout and on-site readiness — quoted per project.
Do you do BMS / KNX integration?
Yes — via the Lithernet gateway for BACnet/IP, MQTT, KNX and Modbus. We integrate with most Indian-deployed BMS stacks. BMS commissioning is scoped and quoted on top of base lighting commissioning.
What happens if I need a scene changed after handover?
Post-handover changes are supported — call or email us, we'll do it remotely if possible or schedule a brief visit. For longer-term support we offer ongoing service contracts, or you can have your in-house team trained to make changes yourself.
